Opening the SEED School in the state of Delaware

What is the project?

An initiative to gain support to bring The SEED School to Delaware, proposing to be in partnership with the Delaware Boys & Girls Club and various stakeholders in education.

What organization does it fund?

The SEED Expansion Project supports the SEED Foundation in its mission to expand the presence of The SEED School to new locations.

What underserved group will this help?

The SEED Foundation works in partnership with urban communities to “provide educational opportunities that prepare underserved students for success in college and beyond”. SEED is a public boarding school for underserved children, based on a model that deepens student learning fostered with the belief that all children deserve a quality education.

How much money will it cost and what will that money go towards?

A fundraising campaign has been created to start bringing in funds to support the preliminary stages. It is expected to cost approximately $125,000 to include a feasibility study that will determine the best site in Delaware for building a boarding school for underserved children. The feasibility study will also provide assessment of issues and challenges that may arise using a methodology that has a proven track record of success.
